Studio & garden pics and palette launch
Scenes from my studio and garden this week. Plus my new secret hide out.
Hello my dear friends, it occurred to me today that I only ever write to you with product news or studio stuff and it got me thinking, there is so much more to share, the stuff that shapes my little business, the simple things- like my home, garden, my flowers of course and I’m rather partial to a jaunt out in the English countryside. All relevant I think, so what I’m asking is would you like to see pics and read about those things too? Please do let me know.
I write this post now from the cool shade of my garden. It’s been far too hot this week to make any ceramics so I thought I’d paint instead which I have enjoyed thoroughly. My paintings and I will be at Art In The Pen art fair in Yorkshire next month, I cant wait! I’m terrified but so excited! Also last weekend I had my first solo exhibition in Norfolk hosted by my friend Alicia in her beautiful interiors shop.
My husband and I also celebrated our tenth wedding anniversary in the Cotswolds at a wonderful secret pub which i will share with you as i know you will love it and keep it a secret to! The Plough @ Kelmscott. You’re in for a treat as five minutes walk takes you to the home of William Morris and beautiful canal side walks, I’ll be going back this autumn!
My garden is looking scorched now but I’ve been finding inspiration in the colours, gentle sepia tones, dried roses and grasses catching the evening rays.
P.s I designed that fabric some years back, do you like it?
Lastly, I have just uploaded a couple of palettes, one cup and two new oil paintings to my website, its been a while I know.
So there you go my dear friends, I hope you enjoyed this newsletter! Oh & one last thing, I’m moving if you didn’t already know. Fingers crossed! I will inherit with the new house a new studio and garden room with log burner which is just crying out for you to visit and do a workshop! + I’ll be planting up a cutting garden again.
